12/8/2009 - New York University Press to Publish Web-Based Catalogs via Edelweiss Interactive Publisher Catalogs

Ann Arbor, MI – December 8, 2009 – Above the Treeline is pleased to announce that New York University Press (NYU Press) has selected Edelweiss, Above the Treeline’s interactive publisher catalog system, to publish its frontlist and backlist catalogs on the web.  With the addition NYU’s roughly 50 frontlist titles for Spring 2010, Edelweiss’ web-based publisher catalogs will encompass more than 47,000 titles across 700 imprints from over 20 publishers.  NYU Press joins university presses from Georgetown University, Columbia University, Fordham University, and Cambridge University in using Edelweiss to promote and market its titles electronically.

Retailers, librarians, publicists, and other end users of publisher catalogs will be able to review NYU’s Spring 2010 titles via Edelweiss by late December, 2009.

New York University Press, a member of the Association of American University Presses (AAUP) since 1937, is a publisher primarily of academic books and is a department of the New York University Division of Libraries. NYU Press publishes in the humanities and social sciences, with emphasis on sociology, law, cultural and American studies, religion, American history, anthropology, politics, criminology, media and film, and psychology. The Press also publishes books on New York regional history, politics, and culture.

NYU Press publishes approximately 100 new books each year, with a backlist of nearly 2,000 books in print; the Press also distributes the books of Fordham University Press and the Monthly Review Press. The NYU Press office is located one block south of Union Square in Manhattan.
