PRH Offering Free Year of Edelweiss+Analytics Lite to New Users

Above the Treeline’s Edelweiss+Analytics Lite allows booksellers to see their inventory, orders, and sales of comparable titles in Edelweiss, the online publisher catalog service. Stores that are new to Above the Treeline can sign up now for one year of Edelweiss+Analytics Lite at no cost, courtesy of Penguin Random House.

Jaci Updike, president of sales for Penguin Random House, said the publisher’s Treeline offer “is a fantastic opportunity for reps and booksellers to collaborate on growing backlist sales at the indies across all categories, and we are excited that so many stores will be participating. It is just one of several such initiatives from us to stimulate and support sales growth.”

“We’re excited to collaborate with PRH on this because we think it’s of real value to the marketplace in terms of saving both time and money,” said John Rubin, CEO of Above the Treeline. “For booksellers, it allows for smarter inventory management and a deeper understanding of sales and customer needs. It also allows publisher sales reps to tailor recommendations to better serve their bookseller clients.”

“Above the Treeline is a valuable tool in the successful and profitable management of an independent bookstore, and, on behalf of our member bookstores, ABA is grateful to Penguin Random House for its support of this innovative program,” said ABA CEO Oren Teicher.
