Summary

A brief walk-through of how to update page numbers for a catalog using Excel and the Edelweiss Administration System.

1)      Create and save an Excel document in the format outlined in the image below.  There should be four columns:

  1. ISBN – this can be the ISBN10 or ISBN13 and can contain dashes
  2. Page – The page number that this title starts on in the print version of the catalog
  3. Span – Optional.  The number of pages this title spans in the print version of the catalog
  4. The primary sorting of this title.  This will be used when Sequence is selected as a sort option and it will also be used to sort within titles on the same page.

 

2)      Login to Edelweiss and view the catalog for which the page numbers will be imported.   Click on the Edit button and then click on the Actions Menu.  Select the option to Import Page Numbers.

 

3)      The pop-up below will come on the screen.  Click on the Browse button and then find the Excel file you saved in Step 1.  Then click Import.
