We're excited that our first set of catalogs from Norton and their distributed clients were published last week. Be sure to check them out. Also, as we've been mentioning in recent weeks, we've implemented some improvements to Edelweiss navigation and workflow that we think you will really like. Try Out the Edelweiss Upgrade!
|
The Edelweiss upgrade I've mentioned is getting closer to an official release, and we want to let you know that you can now try it out! For a limited time, you can activate and use the new, improved navigation features and still switch back to do things the old way if you want to. Sometime early in the New Year we will make the new version everyone's default view.
The driving philosophy behind this revision was to simplify the interface so that getting started, and finding and organizing things - for retailers and sales reps especially - will be a bit more straightforward. Once you are reviewing a catalog, things are much the same. The main differences are around navigating to the catalog or to the orders you need to look at.
To access the upgrade go to the Edelweiss login page (http://edelweiss.abovethetreeline.com). Under the login area you should now see an option to select "2.0 Beta." If you don't find that you are at the login page, but instead are automatically logged in to Edelweiss, click LOGOUT to in the upper right to back to the login page. Make sure to select 2.0, since v1.0 will be selected by default otherwise, and then log back in.

Coming Soon: Market Views within Edelweiss

For those of you in the academic or Christian book worlds (as either catalog readers or publishers), we have some exciting news. Publishers will soon be able to mark catalogs as visible for either trade, academic, or Christian markets-and users will be able to select specific 'markets' of catalogs to view. We hope that this will help you focus your catalog views and searches more for just the content you are interested in. We'll be reaching out to the administrative contacts at the publishing houses in the next few weeks to show you how to set these preferences.
