Edelweiss Weekly Update – Monday, July 13, 2009
We’ve had great growth in our Reader/Retailer user base so far this year! Thanks for all of your comments, suggestions, and feedback. We’ve really enjoyed working with you all.
TIP OF THE WEEK
You can export from any title list within Edelweiss from the List View. The list does not have to be an order and the titles do not have to be ordered. Look under the “Actions” dropdown list for “Export”.
FEATURES
Today we rolled out an update that has a number of changes, fixes, and enhancements. The most noticeable changes involve the filters.
Filters: The filtering feature has been redesigned and enhanced. The filter can be accessed from the “Action” list or using the “Filter” hyperlink. The filter status (Is a filter set? What criteria are in place?) has been changed to make it clearer that a filter has been applied. The filter criteria can now be viewed by hovering the pointer over each listed filter type that has been applied. This allows for long lists of criteria to be easily visible to you without using up all of the screen space.
In addition, several new options for filtering are available: Publisher, Order Status, Suggested Order, and any level of BISAC subject codes instead of just the top level which was previously available.
List View Summary: We made some changes to the summary information that appears at the top of the list view to improve readability. You can also now create an order directly from the Orders section at the top of the List View. Previously, the user had to go to the Orders folder to create an order.
Hyperlink as Export Field: When you create a custom export, you can now choose Hyperlink as a field to export. Within Excel, this will be clickable and will link back to the Edelweiss title detail page.
PO Number as Export Field: The PO Number is also now available as a field to export.
IBID Export: There was a bug with the IBID export that has now been fixed.
Rep View to Account Order Total: In the last update, in updating some functionality within mailings and orders we inadvertently removed the ability for a rep to see the total order quantity across stores for an account. This has been restored.
Various other cosmetic enhancements and bug fixes were also implemented, including a number of catalog admin interface fixes.
