Edelweiss Weekly Update – Monday, September 8th, 2009
Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at 1:00PM Edelweiss Weekly Update – Tuesday, September 08, 2009
We’ll be attending the Fall regional trade shows coming up over the next couple of months, starting with the PNBA in Portland this coming Thursday, 9/10. Be sure to come by to our presentation to learn more about Edelweiss or just to say “Hi.” We’re really looking forward to seeing and meeting book professionals from around the country!
We know you know about keyword searching in Edelweiss, right? Keep in mind that one of the best uses for keyword searches is to find local interest titles and local authors. The author bio information almost always contains the author’s place of residence. Just type your city into the keyword search box and see who pops up.

A few new releases over the past week:
- PTR November 2009 Releases (28 Titles) – Ingram Publisher Services
- Putnam Winter 2010 (158 Titles)
- Berkley & NAL Mass Market February 2010 (57 Titles)
The American Bookseller Association and Above the Treeline want to hear from ABA members regarding their views on electronic catalogs generally and Edelweiss in particular. We’ve partnered on a survey that has gone out to all ABA members. If you are an ABA member, please be sure to complete this survey to ensure that your perspectives are included. You should have already received an email with a link to the survey, but here it is again for your convenience. As a small thank you, eligible respondents (ABA Members who provide their email so we can contact them) will be entered into a random drawing to receive a gourmet basket of goodies from Zingerman’s deli of Ann Arbor, MI.
