Important Dates

 

April - May - Share your excitement about Bookfest with your customers/followers using Bookfest digital assets! Feel free to share promo code BOOKFEST10 to give folks 10% off or ask us for a custom promo code. Tag us and use #EdelweissBookfest, and we'll help!

Early June - All presenters will receive an email from Zoom with login information for their session. You will also receive your Bookfest registrant link around the same time. 

June 8 & 9 - Bookfest!

Presenter Training

Things to do before:

  • Log in to your Zoom account to check for updates. To do this, click your profile in Zoom and select "Check for Updates" in the dropdown.
  • Practice your presentation. If possible, we recommend practicing on Zoom with a friend so you can also test audio and lighting. 
  • If you'd like to have breakout rooms or polls during your session, let the Edelweiss team know beforehand.
  • If you have multiple presenters, make sure you know who will run the slides and the order of the presentation (if applicable). 
  • Moderators will introduce speakers and monitor Chat/Q&A (if applicable). If you don't have a moderator but would like one, just ask!
  • If your session plans to leave time for Q&A, have a few questions prepared ahead of time in case you need to get the discussion going. 

 

The big day:

  • Have water nearby. Print out any notes you need.
  • Plan to arrive 30 minutes before your session's start time. Click on your Zoom link, and you'll be admitted to the "Green Room."
  • In the Greem Room, there will be a Host from FORJ for tech support. You can practice functionality, prepare, and get situated!
  • We recommend sharing your slides with the Host just in case of technical difficulties. 
  • You're ready! Smile, make "eye contact" with your camera, and just communicate naturally.
