Book with flowers

Join us for a virtual reading of Shelly Oria’s anthology I Know What’s Best For You: Stories on Reproductive Freedom, presented in partnership with McSweeney’s!

It will be an evening of storytelling and community drawn from this explosive, intersectional collection of essays, fiction, poems, plays, and more that explores the universality of human reproductive experiences, as well as their distinct individuality.

In response to our current crisis of access to care and ongoing attacks on reproductive rights, this event is FREE to all. But, we encourage you to purchase I Know What’s Best For You from one of our indie bookstore partners so you can read along.

Together with their non-profit, Charis Circle, Charis Books and More fosters sustainable feminist communities, works for social justice, and encourages the expression of diverse and marginalized voices.

Fulton Street is a space to call home. It is a space to build community and to change our city through civic discourse. It is a space on a mission to increase literacy, with people at the center of all the work that they do.

A Seat at the Table Books exists to uplift the oppressed, smash the kyriarchy, and support our community through the power of books, coffee, and connection!

I Know What’s Best For You is a collaboration with the Brigid Alliance, a nationwide service that arranges and funds confidential and personal travel support to those seeking abortion care. If you would like to donate directly to the Brigid Alliance, click here.
